Prayer is one of God's brilliant strategies, the most brilliant way to rule the universe.
Why? Because when we speak God's Word back to God, it draws us into intimacy with His heart and unifies us with others who pray the same things. And it humbles us and transforms us at the same time. In other words, the result of the Father's ruling the universe through prayer is that His people are established in intimacy, community, and humility while engaged in govermental partnership with Jesus to change the earth. The good news is that our prayers don't have to be perfect to accomplish God's purposes. They are effective because of the authority of Jesus, which is based on the His finished work on the cross. Therefore, our prayers work even when they are short, when they are weak, and when they are poorly worded.

Get Involved with the Grand Rapids House of Prayer!
We desire to expand our hours to 24/7 worship and prayer, so we have a great need for volunteers. Here are a few of the ways you can be involved in establishing the night and day prayer movement in Grand Rapids.

Musicians - Whether you play the piano, guitar, harp, flute, strings or drums you are needed at the house of prayer! You can join an existing team of musicians or volunteer to have your own worship segment.

Singers & Psalmists - We are seeking vocalists with a heart for worship who could join a team of singers or lead their own worship set. We welcome singers who can lead corporate worship songs and also psalmists with a prophetic gift for singing the new song and flowing spontaneously.

Worship Teams - If you already have a worship team assembled that would like to take a weekly time slot please contact us. We would love to have you.

Prayer Leaders - The harp & bowl model intermixes intercession with the songs of the worshippers. The two work together to release prayers through spoken word and the echoing of the musicians. We need prayer leaders who can take the microphone and facilitate apostolic prayer on focused topics as the Holy Spirit leads. We can provide training and materials if you are new to this idea but would like to be involved in facilitating the prayer aspect of harp & bowl worship.

Intercessors – If you have a heart for prayer, our region or the lost, please consider joining our team of intercessors.

Prophetic Artists - We welcome artists to set up their easels during prayer room hours and worship through art.
